Dan was born in the Midwest but lived most of his life in North Texas before moving back to Zionsville, where three of his four daughters and their families reside.

Dan earned a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and Master of Business and Healthcare Administration degrees from Tulane University.

Dan has served the majority of his career in healthcare administration, with extensive leadership experience within both adult and children's hospitals, including Indiana's own Riley Hospital for Children.

Dan took his first Executive Director position in senior living about eight years ago. He has served as Executive Director in communities providing services ranging from assisted living and memory care to continuous care retirement communities that offer all levels of senior care services. He also brings experience in both private pay and Medicaid Waiver programs.

Dan and his wife, Anne, have four lovely daughters with four grandchildren so far and counting. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and in the gym, working off life's daily stresses.

Dan's leadership philosophy revolves around always striving for an empathetic response to the human condition.

He tries to live out the principles of servant leadership, making every attempt to lead with humility and fairness.
