Seferino has been in the health care industry for more than 13 years. He began his career in the human services field, working with adults with developmental disabilities. After about a year, he decided to make a significant career change and ended up spending six years in law enforcement.
Although Seferino enjoyed his time in law enforcement, he felt led to return to human services. Even through other career changes, Seferino always returned to health care, which he sees as his true passion and calling.
Caring for our aging population has given Seferino a renewed sense of being and purpose. It gives him the opportunity to help those at different stages in life's journey: assisting them in rehabilitation and comforting them in transition.
"Serving our seniors has given me a different lens to look through," he explained. "Knowing that I am there to help them along this journey called life is all I can ask for. I am inspired by the dedication and love that is shown in the work we do each day. When I get up every day, I know that I can impact someone’s day by the smallest gesture, smile, handshake, or simple hello. This is my passion, and I will continue to look for ways to improve the process."
