The Accushield® 5-Star Safety Rating recognizes senior living and skilled nursing facilities that have prioritized health safety and visitor management through the utilization of advanced sign-in and health screening technology. 5-Star Safety Rated communities prioritize the need to identify, track, and screen all visitors, including family members, friends, third-party caregivers, and other vendors. These communities understand the risk that visitors and third-party care providers can pose for residents and staff and have put in place policies to help mitigate that risk. As a trusted symbol of Safety, the Accushield® 5-Star Safety Rating helps communities increase awareness of the importance of safety through defined visitor management, health screening, entry policies, procedures, and systems.

More PhotosI am currently the Executive Director of The Bridge at Sandpoint in beautiful Sandpoint Idaho. My previous role here as Resident Care Director for the past two years has allowed me to get to know our residents and their families very well. These relationships and interactions are at the heart of why I love The Bridge at Sandpoint.
Senior care has been my passion since the beginning of my career. I obtained my nursing license in 1984. My husband’s military career meant I had the opportunity to work in many states and experience many different types of health care settings. Everywhere I went, I sought out seniors and learned new ways to serve them.
In 2012, we moved permanently back home to Sandpoint and love the community. I believe senior care has been my passion for the past four decades because it is serving a population that deserves the highest level of respect and dignity. I continue to learn so much from our residents on what it means to be a leader, a kind human, and an honorable human.
My other passions include growing organic herbal teas, backpacking, kayaking and being with family. I currently live on a small farm with my husband of 38 years and my 86-year-old mother.
